50 Years of Vespa Classic Scooters

Now with over 50 years of experience, with the first 15 Vespas built in 1946 releasing a 98cc two-stroke engine that had 3.5 horse power producing 4,500 revs per minute.

Just 3 years after this, the popularity of Vespa and the boom in demand resulted in more than 35,000 Vespa classic scooters being sold.  The easy method of transport and cheap running costs were the main benefits. Within 10 years of the first Vespa Classic Scooter there were over 10 million produced

This enabled them to spread out over Europe and into Germany, France, Belgium, Spain, Italy and the United Kingdom. The 125 model was by far the most popular which was first created in 1948 followed by the 150 GS in 1955 and then the  50cc in 1963.

Currently Vespa still sells the Primavera from 1968, and PX, which was produced in 1978.

As an enthusiast of Classic Scooters ScootRenew have been involved in restoring, repainting and maintaining all of these original classic scooters from Vespa.  Our passion is to restore the original elements of these classic scooters allowing them to continue running on our roads.
